Mission accepted. I am proud to announce my appointment as the public representative of the Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights in Moscow for the Syrian Arab Republic.
Drawing on more than 20 years of business experience and knowledge of the Russian and Eastern markets, I take on this mission to bring the business communities of the two countries closer together and to help resolve issues within clear legal and institutional frameworks.
For me this is not just a position — it is an amanah, a word entrusted to me. In our traditions, reputation comes before the person: the Syrian merchant travelled the trade routes for centuries, and his honour went with him. Today I give you my reputation and my word. My task is to be the one you can turn to when times are hard and when the world needs good ideas: so that a Syrian businessman in Moscow knows his cause will not go unanswered and his rights are protected. Economic relations rest not only on deals but on confidence: "I am not alone, there is someone behind me who will support me."
